    A scoping study of the Hydrological Systems for Lake Edward Basin- Bwindi Impenetrable and Queen Elizabeth National Parks, Southwestern Uganda

    This study was commissioned, funded and supervised by the Executive Secretariate of the Virunga Transboundary Collaboration (GVTC), with the financial support generously provided by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Kigali, Rwanda. The authors would like to acknowledge and thank the GVTC and the Royal Netherlands Government for the financial and technical support for this study. This study was further validated through a workshop attended by over 30 participants coming from various institutions operating in the GVL and who are major stakeholders in water resource management within the region. These included: researchers, protected area managers, hydrologists and water engineers, representatives of public and private water management related institutions, district water officers, representatives of local administration. Finally a group of reviewers contributed in reviewing and improving the quality of this study, and these composed of Assoc. Prof. Wali Omaru Garba, Deputy Dean of School of Science and Technology of University of Rwanda, Eng Ignace Sendama Mpundu from the Rwanda Natural Resources Authority /Department of Water Resources and Mr. James Byamukama, Project Manager at GVTC
